Bellefonte/State College KOA
On Saturdays, Amish families from surrounding farms come to the Bellefonte/State College KOA to sell their goods. It's a delicious bonus at this wooded valley campground at the foot of Bald Eagle Mountain. Close to Penn State University, this KOA boasts a catch-and-release pond, two playgrounds, a pool, wading pool, hiking trail and large playing fields. Free hayrides and movies cap summer nights. Friday night pizza, Saturday ice cream and Sunday pancakes keep busy kids content. Directions I-80 Exit 161, 2 miles on Pennsylvania 26 north (second campground). From State College, Pennsylvania (I-99) follow US 220 north until it joins Pennsylvania 26 north. Go 2 miles past the I-80 / 220 interchange (Exit 161) on Pennsylvania 26 north.
